- Anna Szegvari-Mas is a territorial civil servant and legal expert specialising in European project management and funding, regional innovation and territorial cooperation. With over 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, she currently works as a Lead Project Manager for the Direction of Research, Innovation and Technologies at the Région Réunion. Her expertise lies at the intersection of funding synergies (including her participation as a representative of the Region Reunion, project partner in the INTERREG EUROPE funded SYNERGY Project), structuration and development of economic sectors, higher education and Smart Specialisation Strategies, with a particular focus on translating European priorities into place-based solutions for an outermost region. She works closely with public institutions, research and innovation stakeholders, businesses and regional stakeholders to strengthen ecosystems, mobilise complementary funding and supports the territorial resilience and empowerment of Réunion Island.
