- Mar Vaquero (San Sebastián, 1970) holds a degree in Law from the University of Zaragoza and has been a member of the Zaragoza Bar Association since 1995. She also holds a Diploma in Labour Law and Social Security from CEF (Madrid) and a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade, Cooperation and International Relations from Euro’in UE.
She currently serves as Vice-President of the Government of Aragón and Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Culture. She has been a Member of the Parliament of Aragón for the People’s Party since 2011, serving as Spokesperson of the People’s Parliamentary Group from 2016 to 2019 and again from January 2022 until the end of the previous parliamentary term. She previously served as Mayor of María de Huerva from 2007 to 2019 and as Secretary-General of the People’s Party of Aragón from 2017 to 2021.
At European level, she is an alternate member of the European Committee of the Regions and an alternate member of its Bureau. She also serves as alternate to the President of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, in his capacity as President of the Spanish Delegation to the European Committee of the Regions.
