European Week of Regions and Cities

Post-2027 Cohesion: Best Practices for a Genuine National–Regional Partnership

The session will focus on developing governance structures for National-Regional Partnership Plans (NRPPs), demonstrating how they can ensure meaningful participation of local & regional authorities in implementing reforms & strategic projects. Starting off with lessons learned in RRP, we will concentrate on governance design and flexibility, highlighting ways civil society, academia, and the private sector become active and committed partners. Representatives from various EU & neighboring regions, as well as from European institutions, will compare proposals and local needs, leading to recommendations for effective NRPP governance that drives structural reform and regional policy change.
