- Ásta is a project manager in the Science and Innovation Division at the University of Iceland, where she runs accelerators, provides innovation consultancy, and contributes to the next phase of innovation policy across divisions.
With a background in Computer Science, a Master’s in Communication, and more than 20 years of experience in IT and user experiences, she brings a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, design thinking and people-centred communication to her work.
Ásta's focus is on building bridges between academia, industry, and communities through the triple helix approach, helping turn ideas, research, and expertise into real impact and new opportunities. With experience in game creation and interaction design projects, she also brings a creative and user-centred mindset to developing engaging and meaningful digital solutions.
