Dr. Iñigo Arbiol is the Deputy Head at the Secretariat of the United Nations Local2030 Coalition, a UN system platform that promotes the localization of the SDGs through partnerships between governments, international institutions, youth, the private sector, academia, and civil society. His work focuses on multi-level governance, multi-stakeholder cooperation, and the systemic transformation of territories for sustainable development. He holds a PhD from the University of Deusto in Spain and specializes in international relations and global governance. He has previously worked in various professional capacities in countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cuba, and as an advisor on sustainable development for the Presidency of the Basque Government and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For over fifteen years, he has worked at the University of Deusto, where he has been a professor and researcher in International Relations, coordinator of the double degree in International Relations and Law, and director of the Master's program in International Relations and Business Diplomacy. He has also been a visiting professor at Harvard University, Columbia University, UVU, Saint Joseph in Beirut, and Boston College.
