- Christine Osborne is Cultural Partnerships Manager at Belfast City Council. In her role, she supports the development of strategic cultural collaborations across the city and works closely with local, national, and international partners to strengthen Belfast’s cultural ecosystem. She co-developed the city's ambitious cultural strategy 2020-2030 and led its delivery from 2019. Her role includes delivering grants and partnerships of over £3.5million total value per year to more than 60 organisations, festivals, studios and artists. She has created a number of grassroots forums to support cultural governance, mobility, and visibility of Belfast and Northern Ireland's arts sector. She has raised over £2million to support cultural infrastructure, public art, artists, and intangible heritage projects. Her strategic work contributed to UNESCO City of Music status granted in 2021, and was central to partnerships in delivering Belfast 2024; and she wrote the bid to host Fleadh Cheoil na h'Eireann 2026-27 and is leading on its evaluation. She is interested in tangible and intangible heritage and the impact of participation on wellbeing and social cohesion.
