A sea of green: shaping a resilient and sustainable tomorrow for Greater Athens

The Region of Attica invites you to explore a bold vision of dynamic and sustainable urban transformation: the redevelopment of the Faliro Bay area into ‘Aenaon Park’ – an open, inclusive Mediterranean park reconnecting the city with the sea. Designed in line with the NEB principles of sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion, the park creates a new recreational metropolitan area, cultural spaces and flood-resilient infrastructure. Alongside this, the region’s new Sustainable Urban Development Strategy for the metropolitan parks – Pedion Areos, Attiko Alsos and Antonis Tritsis – showcases a vision of a wider green network across Greater Athens, building a resilient and sustainable tomorrow.
