This Talk will show how local and regional cooperation can turn waste into affordable, shared renewable energy, generating direct benefits for communities. Drawing on ENNO, Portugal’s largest renewable energy community, bringing together municipalities, hospitals, ports, universities and other actors, the session will highlight how joint solutions to shared needs can strengthen essential services, cut energy costs, tackle energy poverty, advance climate goals and build resilience. It aims to inspire new governance models, partnerships and practical action adaptable to regions across Europe.
