Sea-level rise threatens our coastal communities. The LIFE COSTAdapta project, developed in Gran Canaria, showcases an innovative way to protect our shores: the "tidal pool-reef". Instead of building traditional concrete walls, we use nature as our infrastructure. Our stand presents this hybrid model that combines natural tidal pools and living breakwaters to reduce wave impact, protect beaches, and create new marine habitats. Visit us to see how local knowledge and adaptive design are joining forces to build resilient coastal regions, and discover how this scalable model can protect other vulnerable European coasts.
