- Giulia Valeria Sonzogno is a researcher at the Department of Economics of Roma Tre University, where she works on cohesion policy, territorial inequalities and public policy evaluation. Inner areas have been a common thread in her research and policy work on youth, the right to stay, migration and gender dynamics, through scientific publications, policy reports, and the coordination, for the Italian Ministry for the South and Territorial Cohesion, of a project dedicated to young people in peripheral areas. She holds a PhD from the Gran Sasso Science Institute, with a thesis on policies for the new generations and marginal areas, and was a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics. She is co-author of the book "Voglia di restare" (Donzelli) and a member of the Governing Board of the association Riabitare l'Italia.
