The Border Focal Point (BFP) was established within the European Commission’s DG REGIO to provide support to cross-border cooperation, complementing Interreg. Its work includes actions of a political, technical and legal nature. Among other projects, it supports networking among cooperation experts and carries out specialised studies. Its b-solutions initiative aims to tackle obstacles along borders and support cross-border cooperation. Furthermore, the stand will promote other BFP activities such as the Border Focal Point Network, a stakeholders' engagement initiative to discuss issues and opportunities in border regions, as well as its youth initiatives.
