Approaches to cooperation and governance within functional urban areas across Europe vary. Many territories showcase that the cooperation is essential for implementing sustainable solutions. The session will present practical guidance for enhancing intermunicipal cooperation with concrete examples and tools, including the ones studied and developed within MECOG-CE project. Thinking beyond administrative borders is necessary to build stronger territories and Europe. Participants will discuss the approaches to cooperation and governance in these areas that focus on several crucial topics like mobility, soft tools for enhancement of cooperation or social services.
