European Week of Regions and Cities

Too Many Visitors, Too Little Space? Managing Tourism Mobility in Cities

This interactive workshop organised by the EU Urban Mobility Observatory invites you to explore how cities and regions can better manage tourism flows through integrated mobility planning. As visitor numbers continue to grow, many places are facing increasing pressure on transport systems, public space and residents’ quality of life. Participants are invited to dive into hands-on scenarios presented by practitioners. The session offers a space to exchange experience, discuss common challenges, and co-create practical solutions that can be applied across diverse European contexts. The workshop concludes with a set of shared insights and takeaways.
