- Ms. Sofia Hedén has served as Deputy Mayor of the City of Malmö since 2022, with responsibility for environmental and service issues, and chairs both the Environmental Committee and Malmö Energy and Sustainability Ltd.
A member of the Malmö City Council since 2006, Ms. Hedén previously worked as a high school teacher for more than 20 years. Under her leadership, Malmö has been selected by the European Commission as one of 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and has been recognized as one of Sweden's leading environmental municipalities. She also played a key role in initiating LFM30, a collaborative initiative to achieve a climate-neutral construction sector by 2030.
