- Attila Péterffy is a Hungarian politician and mechanical engineer who currently serves as the Mayor of Pécs. He was first elected in 2019 as an opposition candidate and was re-elected in 2024.
As mayor, he is leading the city with a focus on sustainability, smart urban development, and community cohesion. He was appointed to the Cities Mission Mayor’s Advisory Group (CMMAG) of the European Commission’s NetZeroCities programme, providing strategic guidance for Europe’s climate-neutral urban transformation. He also serves on the Political Board of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, Europe’s largest city-led climate initiative.
