Marc Bournisien de Valmont

  • Marc Bournisien de Valmont is a Project Coordinator and Policy Analyst in the Regional Development and Multi-level Governance Division at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities. He leads the OECD workstream “Preparing Regions for Demographic Change”, supporting regions facing population decline and ageing in designing forward-looking and place-based policy responses. His work also focuses on strengthening public service delivery in rural and remote areas. Marc has worked directly with over 20 regions across 10 OECD countries, providing strategic policy advice on demographic transitions, regional attractiveness, multi-level governance, rural innovation, and the future of rural economies, including manufacturing. Prior to joining the OECD, he worked at Institut Montaigne’s think-tank, contributing to research on French foreign policy and urban dynamics, and at the French Ministry of Defense. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Sciences Po Paris. He is a French and Spanish national.
