- Elena Nevado del Campo is a Member of the EPP Group in the European Parliament. She is Vice-Chair of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) and of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America(DCAM), EPP Coordinator in the Committee of Petitions (PETI), Member of the Committee of Regional Development (REGI) and Member the Committee of Public Health (SANT).
Elena Nevado del Campo has developed a long career in both law and politics. She graduated in Law from the University of Extremadura (UEX) and holds a master’s degree in Corporate Legal Advisory from IE. She has practiced as a lawyer since 1992 and is currently a partner at the law firm Cáceres Jurídico SAP. She also served as Deputy Dean of the Cáceres Bar Association.
After joining the Popular Party, she dedicated much of her political career to her hometown of Cáceres, serving as Mayor from 2011 to 2019. During those years, she was also appointed Senator during the 10th Legislature (2011–2015) and Vice-President of the Finance and Local Funding Committee of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) from 2011 to 2019.
She later became a regional MP for the Cáceres constituency representing the Popular Party in the Assembly of Extremadura until 2023, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Party of Extremadura in 2022, and First Secretary of the Bureau of the Assembly of Extremadura from July 2023 to July 2024.
Elena also holds a certificate from the University of Deusto for completing the Public Leadership in Innovation Entrepreneurship Program, as well as another qualification from IESE through its Leadership and Motivation Techniques Program.
