- Rita Cerdeira holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering and an MSc in Environmental Technologies. She is currently a Project Manager at IrRADIARE, bringing expertise in renewable energy, environmental management, and sustainability. Prior to this role, she worked as the coordinator of the environmental department at Synege/Geogradiente, focusing on soil contamination, environmental due diligences, and shallow geothermal projects, including the dissemination of this technology in Portugal and managing diverse projects for both national and international clients.
Throughout her career, she has successfully managed and contributed to numerous national and international research projects focusing on indoor and outdoor air quality, renewable energies, energy efficiency in buildings, and ground source heat pumps. Her technical experience also includes conducting comprehensive air quality audits in buildings.
A strong proponent of knowledge transfer, Rita Cerdeira has coordinated successful postgraduate courses on renewable energy in buildings, alongside multiple specialized seminars. As an active researcher, she has participated in the submission of several European and national research proposals, securing funding for projects approved by the European Commission and by national authorities. She is also the co-author of multiple scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.
