Recent geopolitical events have increased the urgency for the EU to strengthen the resilience of its socio‑economic model, based on strategic open autonomy, economic competitiveness and environmental sustainability. This requires future proofing our socio-economic model to ensure long term resilience, citizens’ well being and environmental integrity. Cities and regions are already leading this transformation through investments in renewable energy, circular systems, climate adaptation and digital innovation, putting competitive sustainability into practice. However, local leadership alone is not sufficient. This session will explore how to scale up action and secure a sustainable future.
