- Gabriele Cosentino is a Brussels-based writer and researcher specializing in political communication, mis/disinformation, and geopolitics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Science from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University.
His most recent book is The Infodemic: Disinformation, Geopolitics and the Covid-19 Pandemic (Bloomsbury Academic, 2023). He is also the author of Social Media and the Post-Truth World Order (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) and, in Italian, L' Era della Post-Verità (Imprimatur, 2017).
His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Popular Communication and The Journal of Italian Cinema and Media Studies, as well as in edited collections such as The New Media and Technocultures Reader and The Palgrave Handbook of Contemporary Geopolitics.
He has taught at universities across Europe, including New York University in Florence, John Cabot University in Rome, and Vesalius College in Brussels, as well as in the Middle East, including the Lebanese American University in Beirut and The American University in Cairo.
His writing has appeared in publications including New Lines Magazine, The Cairo Review of Global Affairs, The Conversation, and L'Espresso.
