This series of events will be organised in collaboration between the CoR Climate Pact Ambassador, the Climate Pact Country Coordinators and the Climate Pact Secretariat, with support from Covenant of Mayors Signatories and MIP4Adapt Charter Signatory cities. Guided by the European Week of Regions and Cities theme “Strong regions, strong Europe”, the Climate Pact event series will focus on “Tackling disinformation through local dialogues”. The event series highlights the importance of strengthening and showcasing cooperation on climate action between the Climate Pact and local authorities, represented by CoR members as locally elected politicians. The events will provide an opportunity to identify and showcase local solutions for combating climate disinformation through dialogue, explore approaches that can be replicated across regions, and learn from exchanges with other local actors. Representing the voices of individuals actively engaged in climate action, the Climate Pact is well placed to foster networks and strengthen trust and cooperation among citizens, local authorities and EU institutions which is key for debunking climate myths a stop disinformation in flourishing.
