European Week of Regions and Cities

Have your say: Help shape the EU’s Right to Stay Strategy

This year, the European Week of Regions and Cities will explore the theme ‘Strong Regions for a Strong Europe’, with a key focus on the topic of the right to stay in the place people call home Strategy. As part of this initiative, the European Commission has launched a Call for Evidence to gather input for the forthcoming strategy.

Anyone interested in the theme is welcome to contribute. Young people are particularly encouraged to take part and share their views on what would make them want to stay, study, work and build their future in the place they call home. But we also want to hear from other citizens, stakeholders, regional and local authorities, researchers, businesses and civil society organisations are also invited to contribute their experiences and ideas. Use this opportunity to share your views even before the discussions that will take place at the European Week of Regions and Cities.

The Right to Stay Strategy aims to address demographic decline and territorial inequalities, ensuring that people across Europe have real opportunities and can choose to remain in the communities they call home.

The additional time will allow more voices from across the European Union to help shape policies that strengthen opportunities, services and quality of life across Europe's regions.

Contributions can now be submitted until 12 June through the Have Your Say portal
