- Luuc Dekkers has served since July 2026 as Deputy Mayor for Digitalisation, Public Services, Governance and European Affairs for the City of Rotterdam, representing Volt. Born in Eindhoven in 1988, Dekkers moved to Rotterdam in 2017 and currently lives in the Afrikaanderwijk neighbourhood. Before entering politics, he spent more than ten years working in the ICT sector at KPN, holding various leadership positions in digital strategy, enterprise architecture, and service delivery. He studied International Business Administration (Bachelor's degree) and Strategic Management (Master's degree) at Tilburg University. > Prior to becoming Deputy Mayor, Dekkers served as a member of the Rotterdam City Council and as leader of the Volt Rotterdam parliamentary group.
In his current role, he is committed to building an accessible, people-centred government and strengthening ties between Rotterdam and European institutions, driven by the belief that “good government should be accessible and understandable for everyone.
