Thomas Mäuer

  • The managing director of Bratwurstmuseum Betriebs GmbH possesses extensive and diverse professional qualifications as well as many years of experience in the field of meat and sausage products. After completing his secondary education in 1982, he trained as an agrotechnician. In 1985, he obtained his university entrance qualification (Abitur) and continued his academic education with a degree in veterinary engineering at a university of applied sciences, which he successfully completed in 1990. His entrepreneurial career began in 1991 when he became co-founder and co-owner of the first German Bratwurst Museum. He held this position until 2019, after which he assumed the role of managing director on an employed basis. In addition to his professional career, he is actively involved in various associations: he serves as deputy chairman of the Friends of the Thuringian Bratwurst (e.V.) and is a board member of the Association for the Origin and Protection of Thuringian and Eichsfeld Meat and Sausage Products (e.V.).
