- Aleksandra Baranska is responsible for EU competition and State aid policy, with a particular focus on energy, industrial decarbonisation, clean mobility, and support for research, development and innovation, including the application of State aid rules under the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework. Her portfolio also covers State aid control in the energy and manufacturing sectors, horizontal State aid policy, and links with cohesion policy, the Just Transition Mechanism and the Social Climate Fund. In this role, she regularly engages with stakeholders on industrial policy, energy markets and climate‑related investment frameworks, as reflected in the Commission’s transparency registers.
