- Margalida Prohens Rigo is the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands from 2023. She is a member of the Balearic Islands Parliament. She previously served as a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies.
She is a full member of the CoR and attached to the EPP group. As a member of the NAT Commission, she has been the rapporteur of the opinion on ‘Towards sustainable and resilient tourism in the European Union: Strategy for balanced and adaptive management’ on December 2025.
She is also president of the Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean, an EGTC bringing together Catalonia, the Occitanie region and the Balearic Islands for regional cooperation.
She holds a degree in translation from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra.
