The Medici Ways: Women from Tuscany to Europe aims to transform shared cultural heritage into a network capable of connecting territories, communities and European regions. From Tuscany to Europe, the women of the Medici dynasty are the thread that connects a history shaped by relationships, exchanges and cultural influences across cities and territories. Catherine and Maria de’ Medici, Isabella, Eleonora, the Electress Palatine and other lesser-known female figures become the key to rediscovering a European story that can still create new connections today. The project highlights the role of women in culture, diplomacy, creativity and in building relationships between peoples, contributing to a richer and more inclusive European narrative. Heritage becomes a resource for strengthening communities, supporting lesser-known territories and promoting sustainable tourism through a regenerative approach. The event will take place on 2 December, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Tuscany Region’s office in Brussels, and will be divided into two sessions. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the project, its achievements and its international perspectives will be presented. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., an interactive workshop will bring together institutions and organisations interested in sharing ideas and building a distributed cultural ecosystem.
