European Week of Regions and Cities

The Brain Drain Challenge: Can Europe’s Regions and Cities Win Back Talent?

This workshop will create an interdisciplinary space to explore how European regions and cities can foster development and innovation by harnessing the knowledge and potential generated by their universities. What can regions do to retain young talent and prevent those facing limited prospects from moving abroad ? How can regional environments become more attractive to young people ? Researchers, stakeholders and entrepreneurs will come together to share experiences, perspectives and good practices, with the aim of identifying concrete strategies to address brain drain and turn talent mobility into an opportunity for regional and urban development.
