Raising the bar – attracting talent by creating attraction

We will explore concrete approaches to addressing labour and skills shortages by improving both the attractiveness of vocational education and training pathways and the quality and attractiveness of the jobs they lead to. Moving beyond the traditional focus on job seekers, the discussion will highlight the role of employers, education providers and working conditions in attracting and retaining talent. Projects from Aragón, Zealand and Gothenburg will present concrete initiatives in vocational education and training, nursing education and social work, demonstrating how a human-centred approach can strengthen recruitment, retain talent and address long-term labour shortages.
